As a guest to the area, we are providing this directory for your convenience as a guide to the wonderful offerings both at the property as well as in our community. Rochester is a vibrant city and the Strathallan Hotel & Spa is absolutely the place to stay while you're here.

• Guest Rooms are serviced daily. If you have a DND sign on your door past noon your room will not be serviced for the day. To request complimentary housekeeping, extra towels, or bath amenities simply call or stop by the front desk and we’ll be happy to help.

• Please take note of our GUEST ROOM POLICIES:
Our hotel has a NO SMOKING policy in all areas of the property including guest room balconies. Violation of this policy will result in a $300 cleaning fee charge. The guest under which the room is registered will be responsible for DAMAGED and MISSING ITEMS.

QUIET HOURS are from 9 PM - 7 AM. Thank you for observing this to ensure a restful night’s sleep for all.

The Strathallan is located in the heart of the cultural and historic districts. Not only do we have museums at both ends of Strathallan Park, but our address is also shared with the Neighborhood of the Arts. The tree-lined streets showcase beautiful historic mansions, wonderful bistros, and quaint locally-owned shops.

The Strathallan Hotel & Spa also offers two incredible restaurants that are sure to deliver a truly memorable culinary experience! Char Steak and Lounge is one of Rochester’s top-rated steak and seafood houses. A quintessential American steakhouse with a hip ambiance, Char offers a range of experiences and flavors that surpass expectations for both you and your guests. Rochester’s finest Chefs craft dinner from grilled steaks to homemade pastas, fresh fish to masterful desserts. Expert mixologists serve craft cocktails as well as an extensive wine collection. Hattie’s Rooftop Cocktails is located on our 9th floor. Surrounding this amazing bar is a wraparound patio on which to take in the amazing 360-degree view of Rochester and the surrounding foothills. Our quartz-trimmed bar offers an extensive menu of whiskeys and tequilas, exceptional Rochester craft beers on draft, and cocktails that are as authentic as they are artful. There’s also a rooftop fire pit to take in the fresh air and views. Both restaurants offer Wine Spectator award-winning wines to complement your dining experience.

The Strathallan has added another luxury to its list of wonderful amenities to enjoy: the Ape + Canary Spa. This urban oasis is located directly across the street from the hotel. Check Out: Checkout time is 11 AM. there may be an additional charge for late departures.

Dry Cleaning: Daily laundry service is provided Monday through Friday. If you drop your laundry off at the front desk by 8 AM, it will be delivered to your suite by 7:00 PM the same day. The service is not available on weekdays or holidays.

Ice/Vending: Ice machines are located adjacent to the elevator on floors 2-8.

These days, work happens anywhere and everywhere. So we've ensured you can stay connected with Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. For help with getting online refer to these directions:

Wi-Fi Internet access

  1. Start with your Wi-Fi enabled device off, turn your computer on and connect to “hhonors” SSID, continue with Step 2 below.

Wired (Ethernet) Internet access

  1. Start with your notebook computer off, connect the Ethernet cable to your Ethernet port on your computer, then turn on your computer.

  2. Open your web browser and you should see the StayConnected Welcome page. If you do not, please see the Connection Tips below for helpful suggestions.

  3. Please follow the sign-on instructions to connect.

  4. You are connected! You should be able to launch your VPN, e-mail, or other web software.

 

Connection tips

If the stayed connected welcome page does not appear when you launch the browser:

  • Disable any proxy server settings in your browser

  • Disable any firewall settings that may prevent the stay connected welcome page from loading

  • Try to access web pages in your browser that you normally don't visit, such as msn.com

FIRE SAFETY & SECURITY

Please review the location of exits, alarms, and fire equipment on your floor soon after you check-in. A copy of your guest floor plan is located on the back of your room door.

In Case of Fire:

  • Keep your room key with you at all times

  • Use the stairs to exit, not the elevators

  • Stay low in smoky areas

  • Remain calm

 

If a Fire is in Your Room:

  • Leave the room and close the door

  • Activate the nearest alarm box, if possible

  • Call the hotel operator on the nearest phone by dialing “0” and specify the fires’ location

  • Go to the nearest stairwell and follow the exit signs down to the ground floor

 

If a Fire is Outside Your Room:

  • You may want to stay in the safety of your room and wait for instructions from hotel management

  • Dial “0” to let the hotel operator know your location

 

If You Decide to Leave Your Room:

  • Take your room key with you

  • Touch the handle and frame to see if they are hot. If they are not, open the door carefully, and keep low

  • If possible, go to the nearest stairwell and descend to exit the building or enter a safe floor. If you can't proceed down the stairwell, ascend upwards.

 

If the Door is Hot:

  • Stay in your room and keep the door shut

  • Turn off the air conditioner

  • Fill the bathtub with water so you have a water supply

  • Place wet towels along the bottom of the door and over any vents emitting smoke

  • Dial “0” to let the hotel operator know your location

  • Stay low below any smoke in the room

  • Stay calm

Personal Safety
When you are in your room, be sure to use the deadbolt lock. Also, make sure connecting doors are secured. Always ask who it is before opening your door. Do not allow employees of the hotel, including maintenance staff to enter your room until they have identified themselves with a name tag.

Parking

The hotel is not liable for damage or stolen vehicles, or item removed from vehicles. Please be sure your car is secured at all times, and remove valuables from sight.
