Geva Theatre Center was founded in 1972 and has been Rochester’s leading professional theatre in the cultural heart of the Genesee Valley for over 35 years. The 552-seat Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage offers a wide variety of shows, from musicals to reinvigorated American and world classics. The Ron & Donna Fielding Nextstage, our engaging 180-seat second stage, features fresh contemporary theatre and is also home to Geva's new play development programs, the Hornets’ Nest: Think Theatre series and Geva Comedy Improv. Offering the very best in live theatre, from fresh looks at classics and musicals, to lively comedies and powerful, thought-provoking dramas, Geva has something for everyone.

Downstairs Cabaret Theatre opened in 1983 offering performances from all different genres including musicals, comedies, dramas, new works, and cabaret artists in a year-round, repertory schedule. Strong effort is made in planning performances to attract both traditional and non-traditional theatre audiences. There are several performances per week, usually of a few different productions, offering a variety of theatrical experiences ranging from family shows to contemporary productions. Our current location boasts a 99-seat theatre, classrooms, and production support spaces.

Founded in 1957, the Rochester Broadway Theatre League has grown into Rochester's premier venue management and service organization for the performing arts and entertainment. The Auditorium Theatre is home to a full season of touring Broadway shows and hosts a number of live concerts, comedy and dramatic events through the year. It is also utilized by local performing groups for recitals and other presentations. The Auditorium Theatre is the home of a magnificent Wurlitzer 4/23 (opus 1951) theatre organ and several concert performances of the mighty Wurlitzer are held each year by many of the world's great organists.
